Her Finley

We bounce between the soccer field and t-ball field.

Simon & Mike surprised us and came to cheer on Finley - we love friends like this!

Showing off his batting gloves from Uncle Ryan's new store, St. Croix Sports.

They worked too!

Two seconds later she was on the ground crying.

On Saturday, it was back-to-back t-ball and soccer with only 60 minutes between games.

Four games in one week is exhausting.

Hadley is very into writing (probably because Finley is very into writing) and she wants everything spelled for her. She never requests anything specifically, only says What comes next? What comes next? So I have fun with her. M-y-m-o-m-i-s-t-h-e-b-e-s-t-e-v-e-r.

She copies everything he does.

Even when she plays dress-up, she named herself girl-superman.

Four of us went to Target.

Hadley temporarily lost her mind in the checkout aisle (she has a thing for chapstick). So Finley & I bellied up for happy hour...

...an icee fixes everything.

A hot dog eaten out of a dog with a toothpick.

We attended a carnival for all 4K students in our district.

Finley's two 4K teachers were there too.

Face-painting is always a favorite.

Gymnastics.

At birth, Hadley had a built-in playmate. When she gets up in the morning, she immediately asks, Where my Finley? Where my brother?  Brother, play with me.

I love watching these two together. They are (almost-always) very sweet to each other. Finley was a stinky toddler, but he's become a pretty great kid. He's really taken to his role of big brother, he absolutely watches out for Hadley. He does things like this on his own.

And when I ask him to help her, he does.

Today, each gymnast was called up to show off his/her favorite move. Hadley was called first and did nothing.

Someone jumped to her rescue...

...her Finley.
