I felt warm and fuzzy writing last week's post about the awesomeness of Hadley & Finley's relationship. Then this week happened. Arguing, whining, and a few pinches, ugh so draining. I caught one sweet moment.
A baby comes with us everywhere.
One of our kindergartners lives on a farm. His family is incredibly generous and hosted our entire grade for a farm field trip. That's 80ish kindergartners visiting their house to learn about farming.
The kids planted pumpkin seeds...
... and rode a horse.
Which Hadley was really happy to see?!
They learned about bluebirds and were able to see nests, eggs, and birds.
After the craptastic behaviors at home, I was happy to see the love.
Farm kids.
The dark shadow is a potbelly pig.
Hadley's reaction when the pig woke up.
Big pigs.
Big butts.
Lunch!
After lunch there were relay races. Finley joined right in, he's SO ready for kindergarten.
Sister joined in for one race too.
Pout-face.
We visited the bunnies and chicks.
Finley was hesitant at first.
And Hadley might want a pet.
In the end, it was unanimous - horses were their favorite.
We are clueless in the green house.
Later in the evening.
Cake.
2012 and 2014 - same kids, same cooler (probably not), same fun.
Finley's been waiting for a sleepover at Auntie's, finally the night had come. After the party, we left him behind.
Hadley's totally easy on her own. She sat and watched me make salsa. Like seriously, just sat at the counter and chatted away while I chopped up fruit.
Every time she eats a fruit pouch, she reminds me that Nolan likes them too. Every.time.
Shopping in sparkly sandals.
We prepped the Bob's House for Dogs parade float...
...for the Memorial Day parade!
Our holiday weekend included fishing...
...boating...
...playing...
...a bonfire...
...and s'mores. Their excitement is overwhelming.
Happy Memorial Day from 5 Little Puppies!
