Finley earned his Bobcat badge, this is a big deal your first year of scouts. This badge required Finley to memorize the Scout Oath, the Scout Law, the Scout Motto, and demonstrate the Scout Salute, Scout Sign, and the Scout Handshake. We've been working really hard on the memorization parts in the car, in the tub, at bedtime, etc. Congratulations on your hard work!

Hadley's ballet (pink) and tap (blue/green) costumes for her spring recital. Unfortunately the pink one is nearly identical to last year's ballet, but the tap costume is very cute.
She kinda struggles following directions in tap/ballet and it drives me a little nuts. She spends a lot of class standing at the mirror making faces to herself.
Our favorite YouTuber was on the Today Show. Her mom had posted on FB that Tess would be on, we DVR'd it and have watched it quite a few times...
...so Hadley should be able to turn a wine bottle into a vase, make a winter-ice wine chiller, peel potatoes w/ one slice and turn rice krispie treats into fall pumpkins.
We kicked off Thanksgiving Break w/ a screen-filled relaxing night at home. Finley listened to a story on Tumblebooks while playing a game on his ipad. It's fun to break the rules sometimes. Go big or go home.
Spencer was first, he's an awesome skater. My favorites were his victory dances (victory skates?!) after he'd score a goal - he either put his stick straight up in the air for a few seconds or he skated down onto one knee w/ a complete YESSSS pump of his arm.

Spencer looks little here, but he looked so old out there skating. He's totally going to be a heartbreakin' hockey player w/ tons of cute girls coming to watch him play.
Finley stayed in the locker room and watched Easton get dressed - so.much.gear.
Easton's level isn't as quick as Spencer's (as it shouldn't be), but they're really catching on too.

Uncle Ryan also showed off his skating, he's a helper w/ all three boys.
My kids (and whichever cousins weren't skating) ran laps and laps and laps around the rink. These two spotted me from across the rink and started making faces.
Nolan's level was easily the cutest. They skate and fall, skate and fall. Some even needed the coach to be set them back on their feet.
Nolan skated past us a few times and waved when he went by.
He visited his fans on the other side too.
This is Nolan's first year, we cheered when he came out of the locker room and he was so so so proud.
Hadley doesn't let Nolan out of her sight.
Finley enjoyed watching his cousins play, he was excited to wear his own Hudson Hockey sweatshirt, but he never asked to play, phew ;)
After a lot of hockey, we came home and went to our first Blugold Basketball game of the season.
Patrick has hunted a lot this year, first bow hunting, then gun. He got a deer yesterday and it's hanging in our garage (so gross). I understand that hunting helps control the deer population, but I also find pictures of smiling hunters next to their kill kinda disturbing...and hanging the head in our house will definitely not happen. Ick.
We're just a few days away from Thanksgiving, so I'm closing w/ flashbacks of my favorite little turkeys.
