After a quiet week, we had a BUSY weekend! Auntie, Spencer & Easton came over Thursday; we were busy getting Grandpa & Grandma's (belated) 37th Anniversary & Welcome Home presents ready. Spencer & Finley helped paint the signs!
Auntie's friend Sara, and daughter Olivia, came over for lunch and playing too.
Later that evening, I hung the pictures at Grandpa & Grandma's house...my good deed turned into a nightmare when I tripped the security alarm and the police showed up!
Finley practiced his colors with a game I'd made for school :)
On Friday we met Jill, Gavin & Maddie at the Sports Center! Even with all of the large motor activities available, Finley ALWAYS spends time playing with the car ramp...it's on his Christmas list!
Finley had a blast under the parachute, he was SCREAMING and LAUGHING the entire time!
After the Sports Center, we all traveled home and were joined by Melissa & Elle and Grandma for lunch. Finley took this picture of "Helle"...seriously, it's cute, but he needs to drop the /h/ sound!
Saturday we had a very special evening! We went to the Target Center in Minneapolis to see Curious George LIVE!
Grandma splurged on "Monkey Seats" which allowed us to meet Curious George backstage before the show! Finley wasn't too sure at first, George had just walked in and he was scoping him out.
We had a family picture with George; Finley wouldn't lean in nor give George "5"....
...although he got a little closer than Spencer :)
After we met Curious George, we stopped by the souvenir stand, can't you hear him? I want that...
...which worked out well for him! He has a new spinning Curious George light that he slept with last night and during nap today.
We found our seats and waited for the show to begin! Curious George was entering a meatball contest...which explains the chef's hats!
Our Monkey Seats meant front row floor seats - we were super-close to George and the Man w/ the Yellow Hat! George and crew came off/on the stage right by us, giving "5's" and waving - it was great!
The show lasted 75 minutes with a (well-timed) 15 minute intermission. Finley surprised me by sitting for 65 minutes of the show, he got a little antsy the last 5-10 minutes - not bad for his first show! Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for a fun night - we loved our Monkey Seats!
