The Birthday Girl & her family.
We started the party with a yummy lunch made by Grandma.
Grandma didn't disappoint with all of her party-planning details. We're so thankful she's willing to do so much for us!
Judging by the expressions, everyone appeared to have a blast. OK, kidding, but whomever was walking around with my camera forgot to tell everyone to say "cheese".
The cutest bumblebee!
The bumblebee wasn't sure about her wings nor antennae.
...but the crabbiness came out anyway.
Attempt #2 went better for a minute...
...but she was quickly "all done".
First steps on her first birthday?
Nope, but she's getting close. (Patrick claims he saw a few steps on Wednesday night, I have yet to witness anything)
Presents! Baby girl was spoiled by everyone!
Finley really wanted to give Hadley a xylophone like he'd seen at school, he was very proud of his present and she loves it.
Comparisons...Hadley & Mom at 12-months.
Tara & me on my 1st birthday - Tara is 19 days older than me.
Hadley & Gracie - Hadley is 17 days older than Gracie.
Hadley wearing my birthday dress.
Hadley's celebrations have dominated two posts, so onto the other kid and the rest of life...Unfortunately, a flu-bug forced Finley to miss his last day of preschool. I ran to school to pick up his things and his teacher had a gift for him to "Stay COOL this Summer".
School's out for me too! Next fall, we are moving into a classroom in our school's new addition, which meant we had to pack up. Good-bye room #8!
Finley & I didn't even get dressed together, great minds think alike!
The kids were happy to spend my last day of work with Grandma.
Hadley LOVES to feed herself. It's a messy event saved for dinnertime so she can go straight to the tub.
Crazy hair, styled by her crazy brother.
Who is excited? This kid.
Why? Grandpa took Finley bowling, just the two of them. Scores? Finley 93, Grandpa 111.
Playing up-high to keep his sister out of his things.
On Saturday, we celebrated Tanner's high school graduation!
As much as I don't want Hadley to grow up, sometimes I wish she could walk. Yes, we'll be busy chasing her, but she constantly wants down. Outdoor-crawling ruins her cute clothes/shoes and hand-held walking ruins your back.
This weekend was HOT. In one day we went to the beach, tubing and swimming in a pool! Hadley had fun in the sand and Finley would've stayed all day.
In the afternoon, Grandpa pulled the big boys in the tube.
We were invited to swim in our friends 90* pool, ok!
