We were invited to a "Harvest Breakfast" at daycare, thankfully it fell on my off-day. And extra-thankfully, daycare doesn't mind us crashing special events on our home-days. My cute breakfast dates.
The gym was decorated with art work from each classroom. Hadley was very proud of her turkey.
Finley painted a turkey, it's a bit "expressionist" and requires some imagination. He's very interested in coloring lately and impresses me with his fine motor control. Maybe painting isn't his thing?!
Finley chose our table and coincidentally the pumpkin centerpiece was created by him, his name was on the stem.
The kids enjoyed pancakes, fruit and donut holes.

We met up with Melissa, Elle & Elise at the Children's Museum.
The mailman and his assistant.
The kids were so busy cooking they refused to look.
Foam tinker-toy thingys.
Musicians.
Arts & Crafts.
Miss Elise showed me her new walking skills.
Finley had homework, he needed to decorate a large turkey feather. We chose to create a sparkly feather with glitter. I apologize to every custodian that ever cleaned my classroom after a glitter project - what a mess. We've got sparkles showing up everywhere in the house.
Ta-da! I think Finley's feather will look great on his classroom turkey :)
Finley set up a looonnng track down our hallway.
Hadley's job was to be the bridge.
Hadley's real job these days? To drive her brother absolutely nuts. And she does it really well. What doing brother? What doing brother? Me want a turn. Me want a turn. And she's absolutely perfected how to get under his skin. Her favorite is My mommy! And if he doesn't react? My grandma! My monkey! My daddy! My ________! She will continue to fill in the blank until she finds something that gets a rise out of him. This day it was the camera. Finley did not want his picture taken and she chased him into hiding.
75% of the time Finley puts up with her My crap! and proves to be an awesome big brother.
The kids spent some time at Grandma Kathleen's this weekend, allowing me to do a job too. Packing up old toys without their watchful eyes. Finley refuses to part with anything and we have so.much.stuff, I cringe to think of adding more during the holiday season. The purge felt good. And when he asked where it all went, I did what many moms do - I lied Oh, that (insert random toy)? I'm sure it's here somewhere, keep looking.
