Bubble City!
Getting buried in a bubble hole.
Another kind of white stuff showed up too.
Hadley wasn't too sure...
...but Finley was excited!
Doing his homework. Actually drawing flowers and hearts, but he wanted to be alone in the office with his notebook. Finley is totally soaking up 4K! Miss Jessica told me he's the only kid in class that can count to 100 - proud mom!
Less than a week until Thanksgiving, which formally begins the 3.5-week countdown to Christmas. I'm feeling panicked this year, so we got a jump start on decorating.
Hadley became a Guppy this week at daycare, she moved into the 2.5-3's room. They transitioned her over three days, a few hours on Monday/Tuesday and then the full day on Wednesday. It went really well! The coolest part, Finley & Hadley start in the same opening room. They'll be together for about 45 minutes before they split into their classrooms. Finley was very proud to bring her in, it made for a very easy drop-off, she was excited to stay with him. Then Thursday arrived (when Finley goes to 4K only) and Hadley was mad she wasn't staying. Sister did not want to come home with me.
Hadley has a cool new trick - she puts her coat on by herself! She's also voicing her opinion on what she wears and wants to dress herself. Day 1: Badger jersey and jeggings - nice choice.
Day 2: Badger jersey and pink leggings, both from the dirty clothes basket. When told to put the (visibly dirty) pink leggings back, she returned wearing shorts - backwards.
The kids and I went to a Blugold basketball game!
After refusing her adorable straight-from-Australia Uggs, she wore them...and smiled :)
Finley joined me for a workout.
I went on a date with Finley, and Hadley had a play-date with Nolan.
Finley saw the first three minutes and last ten minutes of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. An expensive nap or priceless cuddling on Mom's lap? I didn't mind the snuggles nor having the popcorn bucket to myself.
The dinosaurs attacked the manger - poor Baby Jesus.
When Finley's around, Hadley plays whatever he plays - Legos, Hot Wheels, etc. When he leaves, she pulls out everything 'girl'. She sings to her babies, rocks them, pushes them in the strollers, packs her diaper bag and feeds them. It's 100% sweet.
We started our week in Bubble City at home and ended in Bubble Town with Nolan at Grandpa & Grandma's.
