By afternoon it was perfect packing snow. The kids played outside for 3ish hours and w/ mild temps they were so so so wet but didn't care at all.
Little Sister dressed up, no occasion, no arguing, her own idea. AND she wanted her picture taken, she obviously felt cute.
It's the Read-a-Thon at school and Finley is into it, big time. He's determined to read as much as possible in the next two weeks. He reads while he eats, while he brushes his teeth, walking through the house, and while he sleeps ;)
Hadley brought home a project w/ pictures of people she loves...that's Grandma wearing the triangle dress, below Grandma is Timber (pink dog w/ pink polka dots), Hadley is on the right (all blue) and right below her is Josie (pink dog w/ blue polka dots). I barely made the picture, I'm the pink oval-thing w/ one leg and a messy circle head on the far left.
Finley was counting down the days until they started learning cursive at school, it finally happened. He can write his name - sort of, minor spelling error ;)
Of course Hadley needs to write in cursive now too. Hopefully only at home, I used to cringe when my kindergartners would think they could write cursive at school, since most still have basic printing errors.
This girl takes the longest baths ever. She plays and floats and sings until the water is ice cold. But she's so stinkin' cute.
Finley's homeroom received the most compliments and earned the traveling trophy.
Finley started baseball camp, it's every Sunday for six weeks and concentrates on hitting. He's already pumped for spring and summer baseball to start.
And a fun surprise that Dave (Elle & Elise's dad) is one of the coaches at camp.
No school on Monday meant a day full of friends!
After our first chaotic visit to the trampoline park, things went much better this time. The crowd was a lot smaller and that really helped. It was also a lot more fun going w/ friends, each pair could do their own thing.

Of course he made her try two more times. She gave a good fight, but Finley made sure Hadley was bumped off first.
Our highlight of the week was our annual ski weekend w/ Patrick's family. Unfortunately our mild temps produced rain and we didn't get to ski. But we found others way to have fun together.
Auntie Shawna & Jake did try skiing, which left the rest of the crew on our own. Patrick's family is notorious for not being able to come up w/ a plan. No one cares what we do, but we toss out ideas and then sit on them (for-ev-er). Shawna is always always always the activities director, so when she left the group, I was in charge. At 1:00 p.m. we were FINALLY leaving the hotel, I texted her and said I don't want to be the Fun Director anymore, it's like herding cats.
We found a bowling alley that had giant pool balls for bowling balls.

I came in dead last - every single person beat me, even Leah and she's 4. The five grandkids in chronological order, they love spending time together and get along so well.
After bowling we went to laser tag. Kids carrying guns and pretending to shoot each other/us is not my thing at all, but it was better than I anticipated.
Finley & Hadley tried out a Virtual Reality thing (game?), it was so strange watching them. It felt like they were hallucinating as they popped balloons and talked to a robot - none of which any of us could see.
Mayah instructed fireplace yoga in the evenings to try settling everyone down. Which was impossible, pretty much the kids went full-steam until they passed out. Jeremy's kids talk as much as mine do, must be a family-thing.
Most of the weekend was spent in the pool area and the kids couldn't have been happier.
This swimmer surprised me, by the end of the weekend she no longer wanted a life jacket and was swimming all over - she was even retrieving toys off the bottom of the pool!
We celebrated Grandma Kathleen's birthday! Our annual weekend started for her 60th birthday and has kept up since.
Even though we didn't get to ski (and the kids were bummed about it), just being together was perfect.
