And apparently, Hadley is allergic to Ivory Soap. She sneezed the entire time she played w/ it, and as soon as it was over, she stopped. Safe to say we will not be doing this again.
We went back to an old favorite - Elmer Glue Putty. It's so simple and my kids play w/ it forever.
More science...Finley is preparing for his school's Science Fair in May. Due to lack of support, there was no Science Fair last year and he was sooooo disappointed. Because he loves science, I joined a small group of parents that wanted to bring it back and we are! The theme is Science Rocks, here is a sneak peek of Finley working on his project. We've put a lot of time into his project and display, seriously so.much.time. was spent just watching him type 😉
Baseball & T-Ball practices have sporadically started, the rain has made it hard and this week is looking wet too. Both kids are really excited! Even though spring baseball hasn't totally kicked off, Finley already had try outs for summer baseball and he made the team 😊
The kids were off school Thursday & Friday, but I still needed to work. I think my boss liked having kid-company in the backseat.
No school = Dunkin' Donuts!
No school = play dates! Elsa & Elsa completely rearranged all of the toys in the play area. They were so quiet and busy, I love little girl play dates. Around here, girls are the easier of the genders (sorry Finley), no nerf guns and no floor hockey, both of which seem to end in arguing or injury. While Allie was w/ us, Finley was at Henri's house. They had a blast zip-lining and playing war in the woods behind Henri's house. His mom said the play date went really well. Finley had been so excited to go, and it was really fun to see Henri literally jumping up/down in his driveway when we pulled up, the feeling was mutual.
No school = sleep over at Aunties! And a movie, Finley really liked the fancy theater seats.
Dying our Easter Eggs!
No eggs were broken, no dye was spilled. I look at these two and cannot believe how big they are.
We participated in the Seder Meal event at church on Maundy Thursday. The Seder Meal was a first for me, it was an interactive learning experience w/ traditional Passover food and activities. The food really wasn't "good" by any means (parsley dipped in salt water?! Horseradish?!), thankfully there were some crackers and a hard boiled egg (and cereal when we got home).

As part of the Maundy Thursday celebrations/Seder Meal, Finley also took his First Communion. Recently we'd attended First Communion classes where he learned the how and why of Holy Communion. He was really excited, even though the wafer is like eating paper and he wishes it were apple juice rather than grape.

We were invited to an egg hunt near the boy's new house. The weather was iffy, but it stayed dry just long enough for a storm of kids to gather hundreds and hundreds of eggs.
The Easter Bunny came! 18 eggs were hidden and found...last year we had one lost for 2-3 weeks after Easter. On their own, the kids took turns finding eggs, weird - but I liked it. It actually made me a little sad, I didn't miss the arguing over who found more, but it seemed mature. Lots of bedhead.

The weekend finished off w/ three+ hours of outside playing w/ Spencer, Easton & Nolan. My kids fell asleep within seconds of hitting the pillow last night.
