George used to be the one and only, now it's practically a party in Finley's bed. As much as Finley would like, Hadley does not sleep with him, but many other friends do. This week Finley figured out that Hadley, Daddy & Mom all sleep in the same room and he's not happy about it...maybe that explains all the new bedtime friends?
What have we been up to? Meeting people! Everyone loves to snuggle a newborn; we go out for coffee/lunch (almost) daily!
Our house resembles Tent City - Finley has created many tents...
How did we get to Tent City? I brought out the play mat (for Hadley) and Finley quickly put a blanket over it, now he puts a blanket over everything. When Finley was at school, Hadley got play time without having to "camp".
Sports Tykes! This week Daddy stayed home and Finley participated the entire time, coincidence? The kids had a lot of fun pushing the big ball around...
...while working on teamwork.
They ran races...
...and finished with a huddle and cheer!
A real bath! Hadley's stump fell off - ick, those really gross me out.
Now that we have a girl, there's an added step to getting dressed...accessories!
Finley has continually asked for a "pink one"...cute.
Multitasking is necessary with two kids...Finley can watch Mickey Mouse and feed Hadley.
Patrick was gone Friday-Sunday, it was our first overnights alone as Mom+2. Finley had a sleepover at Grandpa & Grandma's on Friday night (one night as Mom+2 sounded more manageable than two nights). The rest of the weekend? Ok, but busy. The house was a pit, nothing got done, but everyone was clean, fed, napped, etc. My biggest accomplishment was getting three of us to Hudson and back for a birthday party - Happy 1st Birthday Miss Maddie!
Hadley looks so teeny in the crib! She's not sleeping nor napping here yet, her bedding is on back order until AUGUST. For now, I like having her in our room. What I fear most about moving her? Waking up Finley in the night.
Our sleepy baby woke up this weekend, Hadley has had a few two-hour stretches of awake time. It is fun to have her awake, but life is certainly busier when two kids want your attention. Hadley continues to be a mellow baby; she had a 5-hour stretch of sleep last night (woo-hoo!) and has been content when awake...I know this could all quickly change.
Hadley already looks like a different baby, but certain expressions still remind me of newborn-Finley. I can't believe she's three-weeks old!
Next Sunday our first-born turns THREE YEARS old! I can't believe it! I'm excited, yet sad - Finley's not my little baby anymore. With a holiday and birthday celebration, the blog will be a few days late.
