Before spring break, Hadley's class went on a field trip to the Children's Museum and Grandma chaperoned. It looks and sounds like she had a fun morning. Hadley said she cried on the way back because she didn't get to sit by the window.
Walking advertisements - Festival Foods for her, apparel from St. Croix Sports for me.
When I picked Hadley up on Tuesday, I was told she'd wiped out on the playground and was in the office. Her perfectly-square, teeny-tiny, gap-filled smile had a chip. A call to our dentist's office and they said to come in. Hadley's tooth was intact and wasn't moving, good. And he couldn't feel any tooth fragments in her lips, also good.
We had a follow-up on Thursday. Teeth that suffer trauma are likely to turn gray. Hadley's tooth is still anchored in, so Dr. Terry is hopeful there wasn't any root damage. We won't know for 2-3 weeks if her tooth will stay white or not...fingers crossed that it does, she'll have this little tooth for another 3-4 years and I like it white. Dr. Terry filed the chip down as best he could, any more and he worried the size difference in her teeth would be noticeable. Then again, who will notice her teeth when she has snot wiped across her face? Gross, I didn't notice that until I looked at the picture - ick.
Sister's dance class is getting ready for the spring recital, each week their dances get a little longer. The hand-holding, the blowing-kisses, the cuteness. I'm willing to bet most/all of these little ballerinas will become statutes on stage.
Showing each other their skills.
Our community has taken measures to revitalize our downtown. Grandpa was one of the original planners of a large performing arts center that will redefine what our downtown area has to offer residents and visitors. We are proud of the commitment he has made towards the future of our community.
Grandpa invited the five littles to the job site.
And to be part of a promotional video for the Confluence Project, they happily agreed.
Cutest girl on the job site. Most inappropriate shoes on the job site.
We look forward to seeing the finished clip.
Finley pushed Easton down, that sucks. Easton snuggled me for 10 minutes afterwards and I loved it.
Two peas in a pod.
Mixing play-doh is fun.
Finley didn't have school on Friday, so in honor of having a "home day" again, I told him he could choose something fun for us to do. He chose Sky Zone in the Twin Cities. We invited Melissa, Elle, & Elise to ride with us and met up with Auntie, Easton, & Nolan.
A whole lot of jumping. A whole lot of tricks. A whole lot of fun.
Saturday was picture-less and neighbor-filled. The kids spent the day outside playing together and that evening we were invited over for a cookout and the Badger game. We walked home at halftime and Finley was asleep within twoish minutes.
No fancy kits this year, just eggs, dye, and some crayons.
Finley really likes scavenger hunts, so the Easter Bunny decided to send them on one. They were to find 18 eggs, then follow the clues to their baskets.
The egg hunt was fun. Finley likes to play hot/cold to find eggs and Hadley kept telling me she didn't feel cold ;)
Happy faces!
Counting out 18 eggs...
... and Clue #1.
They followed the clues and found treats along the way.
Baskets were found.
Karen & Dave (next door neighbors) host an annual outdoor egg hunt for their nephews. Lucky for Finley & Hadley, they are invited over too.
Egg hunting is serious business. I love the full-out running...
...with ginormous smiles the entire way.
We went to Grandpa & Grandma's for a peace-less brunch. Nolan & Finley have food hanging out of their mouths and Easton refused to look. All seems normal for this bunch.
Egg Hunt #3 for the day...and go!
Each Little has his/her own color of egg, no arguing is n-i-c-e.
Hadley always wants to know where Nolan is.
See the egg in the bird's nest? Finley didn't. He walked around and around and around...
...before finally spotting it.
The Just take a quick picture with a smile and you can start hunting again. picture for me.
Grandma forced Hadley to try on the Easter dress I wore at 5 years old. She wasn't feeling it at all.
We sang and ate bunny cake for Auntie's birthday (tomorrow).
Tonight is lazy. Lazy is a good ending to a fun weekend. I like lazy.
Happy Easter!
