Flashback

Our talented friend April made Hadley two cute sun hats.  April's next project is making pillowcase dresses for Tenley, sounds very cute, we might need to talk her into making one for Hadley too.

Remember last week's picture of Finley & Hadley sitting on the counter brushing their teeth?

It wasn't so cute this week.  The short-version of our traumatic morning...while kids were brushing, Hadley scooted back.  Before I could stop her, she fell 3.5 feet landing flat on her back and hitting her head on the wood floor.  We all screamed, I scooped her up and panicked.  It was a long day worrying about her.  She's got a bruise on her head, but otherwise bounced back...literally.  The scene of the crime.

These pictures are looking similar week to week, but gymnastics really is a highlight of Finley's week.

Someone else wants to try gymnastics.

Hadley moved to a big-girl carseat!  She likes it!

I like it too, except when this happens two minutes before we pull in the driveway.

My kids love books!  This makes a teacher-mom happy.

Finley likes to play board games, it's fun to play 'real' games with him...

....our crawler likes to play with anything that isn't hers.  Up she pops to see what's happening and we shift our game out of reach.

See how she destroyed the car transporter by the couch?  This drives Finley nuts!

So, we started a rule - anything Finley doesn't want Hadley to play with needs to be set up.  It's Finley's responsibility for putting it out of reach or she'll get into it, blah, blah, blah.  There's no doubt that he understands his responsibility, toys are hidden everywhere.

Naptime snuggles.

Grandma took Finley out for lunch - Walmart!  What a lucky boy, jealous?

We had pancakes to support Bob's House for Dogs - Hadley out-ate Finley :)

We grilled out with Melissa, Dave & Elle.  We enjoyed ice cream sundaes for dessert!

Seems all kids have a version of the cheese-face.  It was hilarious, I'd say smile and Elle would squint her eyes shut.

Flashback...once upon a time, I caught a little boy shoveling spilled chocolate chips into his mouth....

...same spot, different kid, different spilled snack, same shoveling.
