Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Grandpa & Grandma returned from Mexico (again), just in time for parent-teacher conferences.  With Patrick in Texas, they got to babysit while I spent an evening at school.  We have new pudding lovers.

Hadley loves to play house.  She cooks, pretend eats and makes sure you do too.

She also takes good care of her babies.  She's such a little 'mom', are girls born with this instinct?

Another pinterest meal...what is it?  Finley guessed Santa.  It's supposed to be an Angry Bird Pizza.  Use your imagination :)

We met up with Auntie, Spencer, Easton & Nolan at the Children's Museum.  With the snowy day, we had the place nearly to ourselves - it was awesome!

Hadley loved the double handrail.  The shorty-rail allowed her to walk upstairs like a big girl.

After the museum, we went out for lunch and Auntie had a HUGE idea - Finley should come for a sleepover.  He happily accepted.  We ran home, packed his snowgear, overnight bag and he was off.

I enjoyed keeping up with picture texts and FB updates.  The boys played outside with the neighbors, Heidi's cul-de-sac is full of kids, there's like 14 kids within 5 houses or something crazy like that.  That's the one downfall of our neighborhood, we have awesome neighbors, but no kids Finley's age.

It sounds like Finley took a little nap and enjoyed an icee too.

Finley called about 8:30, he was a little sad.  I think he was really just overtired.  We talked for a few minutes, then Auntie promised to lay with him until he fell asleep.  Thank you Auntie for taking on another boy for a day, you made him feel special :)

Jewel passed down the cross country training skiis that were worn by Fran & Marcus.  Finley did pretty well his first time out!

There were definitely some falls the first 10-15 minutes, but then he seemed to find his balance.

It didn't take long and Finley wanted to go down the teeny-tiny decline behind the garage.

 Next up?  Being pulled in the sled behind the snowmobile.

Finley took a few trips around the yard, then we headed inside for hot cocoa.  He gets really tired snowmobiling.

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday with lunch and cake!

Grandpa had zero chance to blow out his candles!
