1 Month + 3 Years = Fun 4th

One Month...On July 2, Hadley turned one month old!  Where did the time go?  I'm already putting away newborn clothes!  Hadley had her well-baby check up, she is built like Finley - short, average weight with big brains at 9 lb 6 oz (49%), 20.08 inches long (12%), her head is 37 cm (46%).  She's got a bit of baby acne and cradle cap, but otherwise checked out perfect.  Hadley is awake more and is a very easy-going, laid back baby.  We love our favorite little girl!

Three Years...On July 3rd, Finley turned three years old!  His check-up is tomorrow, so no stats until then.  Finley started off his golden birthday with a special McDonalds breakfast.  Our three-year old loves to do puzzles, play with matchbox cars and trains, he likes to pretend play, enjoys school and most of all?  Be outside with Daddy - planting, driving his tractor and fishing.  We love our favorite little boy!

Finley's big gift from Mom & Daddy was...a bike!

Finley gave it a try and was able to pedal, but seems most comfortable on this trike for now. I'm guessing by late summer he'll be cruising around the driveway.

With family, we celebrate three birthdays at once - Finley & Uncle Tim share July 3rd and Conner's birthday is July 4th.

Uncle Tim & Conner allowed the littlest birthday boy to blow out the candles.

4th of July...our annual tradition has become a weekend at Grandpa & Grandma's.  As lives get busier, we've struggled to maintain other holiday traditions with my mom's side - but the 4th of July has remained and it's a weekend of LAKE FUN!

Shellee & Darren bring up their speed boat..

...and the little boys went tubing!

Finley has developed a LOVE for "fishin", he could stand on the dock all day casting into the water.

Uncle Tim is a true fisherman; he caught a fish, rehooked it and allowed both Spencer & Finley to catch it again.

How cute is Hadley?!  There was no shortage of people willing to snuggle on shore.

There were lots of pontoon rides - my favorite!  It took time, but Finley eventually went swimming - he was a little hesitant to go into the lake, maybe he's more of a pool-kid?

Our celebrations closed with Grandpa putting on a spectacular fireworks show over the lake.  Grandpa & Grandma's house is set-up for an awesome outdoor weekend, the 4th of July is becoming one of my favorite holidays.
